Winsham Pre-School is very much part of Winsham Primary School and The Redstart Learning Partnership. This means we have access to all the school’s facilities and a wealth of professional knowledge across the partnership. Children join the school for lunch, church services and some play sessions, helping to prepare them for their progression to school.
Our small team of dedicated professionals are highly qualified and have many years of experience working with young children. Most importantly they know how to facilitate learning and make detailed assessments, whilst children are having fun. The adults play with the children and teach them during their play. Our setting is very relaxed, with some structure to our day but also with plenty of flexibility.
Our primary focus is learning through play and exploration, encouraging children’s curiosity and building on their interests. We encourage children to grow in confidence, self-esteem and independence in a safe, stimulating and caring environment.
The best way to find out more about us is to come and visit. Staff will be happy to answer any questions or discuss any concerns you may have. Please contact the school office to arrange a visit.
Winsham Pre-School welcomes children from 2-4 years old. We run daily sessions from 9am to 12pm or 9am-1pm (including lunch) and 1pm to 3.00pm.
Sessions cost £3.50 per hour. The first 15 hours a week for 3-4 year olds is free, under the Government’s EYE scheme. 30 hours funding is also available to those who are eligible.
